Mom’s working on one of my birthday presents already - my very own photo montage (doesn’t every girl need her own montage?). Yeah it’s great and all, if a little repetitive. Can you really look at forty-odd photos of my mug? Mom seems bothered by this too because every time she watches it she starts bawling. Cheer up Mom, my birthday is still more than a month away. We’ll add some Christmas photos this month and that will really spice it up!

As you all know I’m coming up on 12 months old!!!! You know what that means? That means I’ve been around ONE WHOLE YEAR!!! Apparently when you are around for a whole year you celebrate the day of your birth, and it’s known as your BIRTHDAY. So come January 16th it will be my First Birthday!
This is a huge deal people. So huge in fact that Mom and Dad had us do a dry-run practice of my birthday celebration in November. Mom made a cake, we sang Happy Birthday and all that jazz. Except to avoid spoiling the surprize of it all, we sang Happy Birthday to Dad!! Clever idea huh? That was Mom’s idea.
So anyway, I’m all set for my Birthday. I still have to decide what my favorite cake flavor is, so Mom can bake it for me. It’s sorta difficult to decide since I’ve never had cake. I’m taking suggestions if you have any!

As you can see I’m not participating in National Blog Posting Month. Here we are, eight days into November, and this is only my second entry for the month. I wish I could say I’m too busy, that my life is too full of glamorous activities… Music Together, Play Dates galore, but that’s just not the case. Here’s why I’m not participating:
1. Massive anti-infant bias in the blogosphere. I’m just not welcome here, and I can feel it. All you twenty and thirty-something college edumicated bloggers, with your politics and your celebrities and your fashion, you all think you’re soooo cool. No one has any time to stop by my little old blog, let alone inform me of this NaBloPoMo BS.
2. What’s a Month?
Whatever dudes, I’ll post on my own schedule.

Only three more days until Halloween!!! Do you have a costume yet???
Earlier this week we went by the pumpkin patch to check out the pumpkins. I could almost fit inside some of the big ones. Mom likes to call me “pumpkin” sometimes. Now that I’ve seen a real live pumpkin, I’m not sure why, I don’t see much of a resemblance, do you?
Unfortunately our Halloween party plans got rained out this weekend. Instead I’m staying indoors and practicing my standing and stepping. Mom and Dad let me walk all over the place while they hold my hands. Mom says we should paint the floor like a Ouija Board for me to walk around on, and maybe I’ll channel some messages. Not sure what she means by that.
Hopefully the weather will improve for the Hoboken Rag-A-Muffin Parade on Tuesday. Just in case I think I’m going to wear my costume for the Hoboken Fall Harvest Festival tomorrow, do you think anyone will mind?

I’m gonna go try on my costume again and make sure it still fits. See ya later!

A lifetime in Baby Years

I’m paralized by the overwhelming amount of material I have to cover here. Do you now long three weeks feels to me? I don’t even remember what I ate for breakfast let alone what happened three weeks ago.
Luckily, I have photos to help jog my memory.
Lets see, last time I checked in we were about to move from our apartment back in the West Village. Here’s me in the old place just before we left for the very last time.
It was sort of emotional for me. You know, it was my first home. I was born only a couple of blocks from that apartment. Mom and I spent many a wee hour nursing and cuddling in that cozy little apartment. ::sniff::
And then we moved to Hoboken. Now don’t get me wrong, I loved the coziness of our old apartment, but the space we have now, WOW! A girl can really rock out on her exersaucer if you know what I mean. Here I am doing just that.
Dad started school again, which means he’s busy studying all the time. Now don’t tell me that law school is not intimidating. Just look at the books, I could be buried alive by those things!
Oh gosh what else is new? Oh, since we’ve expanded in our new home, I’ve had more space to stretch my legs, and I’ve even stood on my own!
I’ve also been busy down at the playroom, and out by the pool.
Seriously, Hoboken gets a bad rap, I don’t care what you city dwellers say, this place knows how to treat a girl right!
Anyway, I gotta run, we’re going for a Straw family stroll.

Can I get some Cheese on that?

Remember my To-Do list? Yeah, I kinda forgot about it too. But here’s a recap:
1. Sleep through the night
2. Giggle
3. Put Everything in my mouth
Well, I’ve got #2 down. I’ve Giggled. Yes I admit it. It happens mostly when I’m out with Mom and Dad. Oddly, my two documented Giggle Fits have happened while we’re on public transportation. I just get so excited about the trains and buses, it cracks me up.
#1 is a tough one. I’m only getting up once a night these days. I go to sleep at 7:30, wake up once at around midnight, then I sleep through until 7:3o am. So I’m making progress.
Now what I really came here to talk about is #3. Put Everything in my mouth. Today I achieved something I previously thought to be impossible. Check it out:
Now before you get all freaked out–my feet are clean! I just got out of the bath so no toe cheese here. Clean as a whistle. Just look how wrinkled my toes are. Now this could keep me busy for hours!
Gotta run to bed now, tomorrow is my 5 Month Birthday, and I’m expecting some BIG surprises!!!
